Author's Notes: This story is a crossover of two franchises with some minor changes in timeline and I ask the reader who may not know either franchise or both to just sit back; play some tunes and enjoy the story.

Danny Phantom Meets the Ghostbusters

Chapter 8

At Axion labs, Vlad walked through the halls with the lead scientists who, under company policy, were to salute Masters like a commander.
"Gentleman, I'd prefer to be left alone in my office before I finish checking out the facilities and all of its projects" Masters demanded.
"Yes sir Mayor Masters" the scientists said as they left him to walk into his office. Vlad walked behind his desk and pressed a hidden button. Vlad sat down and disappeared from the office. Unbeknownst to all at Axion, Vlad was sliding down a secret shaft that he built to his secret laboratory beneath the research facility. He phased into Vlad Plasmius as he arrived to his lab and walked beyond the shelves of books, tables full of chemicals, and giant tubs of glowing colors of slime. He pressed the dials on a keypad and opened the portal. He stepped back as Skulker flew in, hovering as he held a large package.
"Finally Plasmius, I've been waiting hours out in the Ghost Zone to get to your portal" Skulker groaned about.
"Oh quiet, I can't be leaving it open for any random ghost, I'm only lucky you just appeared here at the right time" Vlad noticed the large box, "while also bringing in my special guest."
"Just as you wished boss, I brought you the most intellectual techno nerd of the Ghost Zone" Skulker said as he pushed a green button in the center and the box slowly opened.
"Plasmius, I am proud for you to meet an old chum of mine" both stepped back as the box zapped with electricity, "Come on out, Technus!" From the box launched out the powerful spirit of Nicolai Technus.
"Old Chum huh?! I don't think a chum would hit his chum on the back of the head and capture him for his own needs!" Technus shouted as he was face to face with Skulker.
"Yeah, but I'm the kind who has a gun to make sure I get my friends to do whatever I want" Skulker threatened as he held out all his lazars. Technus yawned and pressed a button on the back of Skulker's head. In an instant, his body fell apart and from his helmet rolled out the little green glob controlling the armor.
"Too easy for a mind such as mine" Technus yawned as Vlad clapped his hands and mentioned, "Bravo Technus, I hope your tech skills can prove fit for my latest diabolical plan." Technus turned back to Vlad and raised an eyebrow.
"After all, I am in need of a super advanced master of technology to help create a very serious machine with heavy duty science beyond my human thinking" Vlad said, trying to con Technus.
"Well it is true that I, Technus, have one of the most advance minds in the Ghost Zone" the spirit so modestly said.
"Yes of course, see I have discovered and personally placed a bid on an ancient artifact. I've researched it a bit and trust me, with it I can bring nations to their knees and no man made force bound to this reality will stop it" Vlad said, pulling in Technus to it.
"Interesting details, but how am I a part of this nefarious plot?" the dead scientist asked.
"It's old and just like any piece of technology, ancient or recent, loses power when the energy dies out and this piece of technology requires us to build a powerful spiritual labyrinth" Vlad explained.
"You mean a mandala?" Technus asked.
"Yes and this mandala needs to be up and ready soon, with a strong security system that can prevent Danny Phantom from butting his nose in a stopping my plan" Vlad scowled.
"Ok, but what does it mean for me if I help you out with your plan?" Nicolai asked.
"With it, you will master all of Earth's science and technology and systemize humanity to its downfall and rule alongside me as masters of the world" Vlad boasted. Although the idea of being 2nd in command made Technus squirm, he only smiled and shook Plasmius' hands.
"You've got yourself a deal Plasmius" Technus said, until he saw Skulker tug his suit.
"Now that you're a part of this, mind lending me a hand put my parts back together?" Skulker frowned.
"No problems, old chum!" Technus stepped on Skulker, "Oops, my bad, nyah-hahahaha!" He threw the little blob into the armor's face and began to put him back together.
"Sit tight boys, while I have to deal with a few loose ends" Vlad walked into the portal, leaving the two to fight with each other.

The Ghostbusters arrived to the Fenton Works, the Fentons' home, and looked with amazement at the observatory mantled on top of the small brick building.
"Wow! Hey Egon, look at the size of that observatory. I can't wait to see what the Fentons have in there; do you think they'd let us use their tech?" Ray asked.
"Unlikely, they're professionals who won't just give their stuff Willy-nilly to anybody, besides we're guests" Winston said.
"Yeah but that Jack fellow did get all pre-teen when he saw us. I don't blame him, we are celebrities" Peter said.
"No, we're exterminators who work a tiring 14 hour shift dealing with pests way out of town and this 'vacation from the hustle and bustle of the city', as you put it at the fire hall, is just another job and no doubt it's gonna be a big one with the those case files Mayor Masters gave us" Winston said as he turned at a curb and parked the Ecto-1.
"Well it doesn't matter. A big job or no job, we're gonna get paid regardless of the outcome" Peter said. The four walked behind the Fentons and followed them into the house, while taking a tour of the ghost hunters' home and after leaving Jack to duke it out with a possessed hot dog wiener invasion in the kitchen, the Ghostbusters got to see the Fenton Works lab in the basement.
"I am profoundly speechless by the amount of craftsmanship you both have put into these weapons, an excellent job for anyone in our fields of studies" Egon said as he held small inventions the Fentons have.
"Yes, we had to do dozens of research for years to find the exact physics behind this tech … mainly me, but still an accomplishment on both our parts" Maddie said.
"Uh, not to rain on your parade, but is this weapon just a bat with a sticker marked Fenton on it?" Winston said as he held the bat.
"Yes, the Fenton Creep Stick, the most highly advance weapon to use on both ghost and human, just one swing and WACK! The stick knocks out any creep, dead or alive" Jack boldly said as Ray and Egon turned to the wall behind them and saw a fascinating invention.
"Wow, is this some kind of containment gird?" Ray asked, pointing to a large doorway in the wall.
"No Dr. Stantz, you are looking at the first man-made cross dimensional portal leading into the Ghost Zone" Maddie explained.
"And if I'm correct from what I read in last month's Ghost Hunter Monthly, this portal can be opened and closed by a thumb print command from anyone in your family?"
"Correct, now watch!" Jack pulled off his glove and held his thumb to the screen. The door opened and revealed an eerie green light coming from a portal to the Ghost Zone.
"That's amazing!" Ray said as Egon held his PKE meter up to the.
"Unbelievable. Ray, check this out, the meter detects a similar atomic wave length to a real cross dimensional portal" Egon said, exciting his fellow Ghostbuster.
"Which means?" Peter asked.
"It's a legitimate ghost portal" Ray said.
"Pretty cool, but doesn't it mean that any ghost can come through this portal?" Winston asked.
"Not unless it's locked" Jack then pressed the touch screen and the doors locked.
"Impressive stuff Jack, but don't tell me this is where we're gonna be hanging out 'til our job's done, right?" asked Peter.
"Of course not, you guys will stay in the Fenton Ops center upstairs" Jack said, "Come on, let's go!" Jack grabbed Peter's hand and ran as quick as possible. Maddie only shook her head and sighed, she then lead the guys to the Ops center. Meanwhile, across the other side of the portal Danny and his friends were leaving from an old friend's home.

In the Anur system of the Ghost Zone; Danny, Tucker, and Sam sat inside the Specter Speeder, a vehicle designed for travel in the Ghost Zone. They left from their Clockwork's headquarters.
"I feel weird every time I leave from Clockwork's HQ, does he always have to leave us with a riddle?" Sam asked as Danny drove the speeder to the Fenton Portal.
"Yeah, it is getting old! Ha, get it, old? Cause he controls time and-and-" Tucker's lame joke got Danny and Sam to groan.
"I'm gonna get a glass jar and every time you make a god awful joke, you're gonna put a dollar in" Sam stated.
"If you did that before, we'd be living in a mansion by now" Danny said.
"Ha-ha, very funny, let's focus on the problem at hand" Tucker reminded.
"The problem is that what we're dealing with is another scheme from Vlad to take over the world and kill me in the process and-" the ghost boy explained, until Tucker pointed out, "And get with your mom" Tucker pointed out.
"I'm gonna throw you out if you say that again, I swear I won't look back" Danny said. Tucker zipped his lip as Sam said, "And he brought in those Ghostbusters as pawns to keep his public image safe and enough time to construct his plan."
"The only questions rolling around in my head are why, when, and how?" Danny said as he typed in the commands for the portal. In a moment, the portal opened and the Phantom guided the Specter Speeder through it. Lurking behind, the shadow of Plasmius only looked at the hero and flew off into the depths of the Ghost Zone.
